2.10 Myliobatis

Myliobatis is a genus of ray that first appeared in the Late Cretaceous. It includes extant species such as the Eagle Ray, from the east Atlantic and around Britain. The Eagle ray can grow up to 1.8 m long. It feeds on molluscs and crustaceans from the sea floor.

This specimen is one of the crushing tooth-plates with a rasp-like surface.
