Training and Resources for Research Data

Many organisations support research data management and have excellent training and resources available.

UCL Library Research Data Management training and resources

Our data management libguide as more in-depth guidance on the UCL data repository and other topics:

We provide a training course on moodle which walks through the process of completing a data management plan using a template document. This is also a good general overview for practical data management for students and staff who want further training on the topic, and the course can provide credits for the Doctoral Skills Development Programme.

JISC provide guidance:

The UK Data Archive has specialist advice on storing sensitive data, managing data access and technical standards. They also maintain a data costing tool for funding applications.

Datatree is an extensive set of courses on research data developed by NERC.

The University of Edinburgh also provide a research data training course called MANTRA.
