Sir Samuel Osborne Gibbes 2nd Bart.

1. Son of Samuel Gibbes and grandson of Sir Philip Gibbes 1st bart (a Barbados baronetcy) and Agnes Osborne. Born and grew up in England, resided Barbados 1821-1833, left for England at the time of the Abolition Act, emigrated to Australia 1850 and then to New Zealand 1855.
