Biography

Son of Charles Adams (q.v.) and co-claimant with him for one enslaved person in Trinidad, both merchants in Walsall. Their path to ownership is unclear.

  1. In 1851 Charles Adams merchant aged 51 was living at Park Street Walsall with wife Anne aged 43 and children Charles 12 and Sarah Anne 11.  In 1861 Charles H Adams aged 59 'landed proprietor' was living at The Lodge Fillongley with wife Anne and daughter Sarah Anne aged 20. 1871 Charles Haden Adams was living at The Lodge Fillongley aged 70 landowner born Walsall with wife Anne aged 62 and son Charles Caldick ('B.A. Cambridge').

  2. Death of Charles Haden Adams registered Q4 1881 aged 81 at Meriden Warks.  Will of Charles Haden Adams late of the Lodge Fillongley Warks., who died 17/11/1881 proved 15/04/1882 by inter alios Ann Adams the relict, Charles Caldick Adams the son, personal estate £91,194 12s.  

  3. One of the 66 Members of the Provisional Committee of Lloyds Banking Group Limited listed in the Prospectus launched 29/03/1865.
