  1. After his death, his library was sold off: it comprised 1047 lots sold over 4 days.

Date of death from London Gazette, Issue 20180, 23/12/1842, p. 3825 (notice from Imperial life Office of appointment of new director to replace C.P. Lang). Gentleman's Magazine death notice (online) gave his age as 37). Family members from, London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906 [database online] (the older two two were baptised at St Marylebone and the younger two at All Souls Langham).
