John Carr senior has a monument recorded in the Cathedral in Port of Spain Trinidad erected by his son Hon. John Carr of Sierra Leone (q.v., under John Carr) showing John Carr senior 'for many years an inhabitant of this island' dying in 1828 aged 47.
