Resident planter and brother-in-law of Thomas Todd (q.v.).

  1. Utten left his estate, after specific legacies, to his nephews, Thomas's sons Utten Thomas and Richard James Surry Todd (q.v.), subject to an annuity of £100 to their mother ('my dearly belove sister') Mrs Eliza. Rochfort Todd. His estate included 'ground rents in London or Westminster', 20 shares in the Pendleton Colliery in Manchester, 50 shares in the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co., and 20 Colonial Bank shares.
