Steve is a visiting Professor at UCL Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science. He is on sabbatical study leave from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA where he is Chair of the Criminal Justice Program and the Department of Human Services. He has published in a wide range of areas relating to crime and criminal justice including seven books, a Strategic Plan for Crime Prevention Research and Evaluation for the US Department of Justice, and numerous other studies. He was previously editor of the Journal of Crime and Justice and is currently an editor of Crime Prevention and Community Safety: An International Journal.
