Rick Brown
Dr Rick Brown, Evidence Led Solutions
Dr Rick Brown is founder and Managing Consultant of Evidence Led Solutions (ELS), a research consultancy that specialises in criminal justice issues. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow with the University of Surrey Roehampton. Before establishing ELS, he was a Programme Director with the Home Office Research, Development and Statistics Directorate. During his time with the Home Office, he published work on traffic policing, vehicle crime and burglary. He has undertaken a range of assignments for ELS, including crime and disorder audits and strategies for local authorities, best value reviews, evaluations of community safety projects and an evaluation of a major organised vehicle crime initiative undertaken on behalf of the National Criminal Intelligence Service. He has also been appointed by the Home Office as a Senior Advisor on Crime Reduction to support the East of England Government Office.
