Homeless and Inclusion Health is a dynamic module developed and delivered by UCL's Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care and the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health (part of Pathway). It offers an opportunity for those with an interest in excluded or hard-to-reach groups the chance to learn from world-class UCL researchers, experienced policy makers and service providers, and former/current members of these communities.

For MSc students enrolled at UCL, the Homeless and Inclusion Health module is an optional module on the MSc in Population Health programme and can be taken by students on other MSc programmes. It is also available to external students, as both a short course (where the student does not submit an assignment and does not get awarded Masters-level credits) or a taster course (where the student does submit an assignment and is awarded 15 Masters-level credits if they pass the assignment).

What are the differences between short and taster courses?
- Participants who complete Homeless and Inclusion Health as a short course receive a certificate of attendance, but they are not assessed and therefore do not receive UCL credit.
- Participants who successfully complete Homeless and Inclusion Health as a taster course, and pass the assessment at the first attempt, receive a Grade Report and are eligible to receive UCL credit (APL credit). Taster credits must be applied to a postgraduate programme within five academic years of taking the taster course. More information for Taster course students about UCL credits
- Both short and taster courses involve attending all of the teaching and seminars.
How to apply
- There are no entry requirements for Homeless and Inclusion Health, apart from being able to demonstrate evidence of a Good level of English proficiency, if your first language is not English, you are not from a majority English speaking country, and your education has not been conducted in the English language.

- Relevant work experience and an interest in the subject area would obviously be beneficial.
- Places are available on a first come, first served basis. When the course is running please visit the online store to book your place and pay your fees via credit or debit card.
- You must book your place and pay your fees before the online store closes. We will not be in a position to invoice organisations individually and ALL bookings must be place via the online store when it becomes available.

Experts by Experience application process
The Experts by Experience (EbE) Rate is a fully funded place, there are three EbE places available for 2023.
- Eligibility Requirements: Home/EU students only, with previous experience of having been part of inclusion health communities.
- Application Requirements: All EbE applicants require a reference from an organisation that will support you to attend the course. This can be an organisation where you are a volunteer/working with or an organisation where you have accessed inclusion health services in the past.
- How to Apply: You will need to complete this form and submit it to Rebecca Payne via email to rebecca.payne@ucl.ac.uk by 4pm on Fri 17th March 2023 (GMT). This will need to include 500 word max statement stating why you should be provided an Expert by Experience fully funded place. You should think about why you want to study the course, and how you plan for it to further your career. You will also be required to provide a referee, who must complete their section of the form.

International Students
Overseas (non-EU) applicants requiring a student visitor visa should apply at least two months before the course commencement date to allow sufficient time to arrange and receive their UK visa. The UK Home Office Visas & Immigration website details further information.
