Humanities Divisional Office, Radcliffe Humanities, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Oxford

Grade 5: £24,983 - £29,799 p.a. (pro rata)

This post will play a key role in the administration and organisation of activities related to Humanities Division and TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) collaborations with the Heritage and Creative Industries sector. In particular, it will contribute to the successful delivery of a programme of exploratory workshops and events to generate new projects and connections between academics and external partners.

The Creative Industries and Heritage sectors are taken to mean a broad sweep of organisations that include advertising, branding, film/television production, digital media and performance, museums, galleries, archives, country houses, performance, theatre and tourism.

You will be the first point of contact for internal queries related to the Creative Industries and Heritage workshops, and support the Heritage Engagement Fellow (Dr Oliver Cox) in brokering the external partnerships required to make these workshops a success. You will play a key role in organising varied research and public engagement activities, which will involve close and regular liaison with academic and professional staff, and maintaining effective communication across the Creative Industries and Heritage portfolio by drafting articles, briefings, and presentations. You will regularly update the TORCH team to ensure workshops connect with existing programming, and update web-content for the TORCH Heritage Programme.

You will need good people skills at all levels, including senior academic leaders and administrative staff, along with the ability to work under pressure, and to juggle competing deadlines. Accuracy, attention to detail and a readiness to contribute to the overall success of the Heritage Programme is essential.

Applications must be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your application.
