Diana Margot Rosenthal

PhD Candidate and Early Career Researcher

Diana Margot Rosenthal
Diana goes above and beyond what it means to overcome adversity. During her PhD, she joined the EDI committee and put disability on the Athena SWAN action plan for the first time, which was awarded Gold Status. She co-founded the Disability Visibility Focus Group, which she co-chairs with Grazia Manzotti, highlighting many important issues and helping change the dialogue about disability dialogue through various events she organised, including the Disability Visibility Webinar Series and Spoonie Challenge Workshops, all of which received excellent reviews. Her candidness about her own lived experience of disability and disability injustice in her life, career and academia makes her an essential voice in the community. In May 2022, she shared her lived experiences with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) with the ICH community during EDS Awareness month through vital resources and artwork featured on the focus group’s web pages.
