Our senses are a gateway to understanding the world.
In this virtual open day, we will have a mini taster lecture from Dr Cecilia Bembibre Jacobo who teaches on the Sustainable Heritage MSc courses at the UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage. This taster lecture provides an introduction to olfactory heritage, an emerging field of research which explores how multisensory experiences and data can enhance heritage experiences. Drawing from heritage management, data science and heritage science perspectives, Dr Cecilia will discuss real world examples of olfactory heritage in research and practice.
Following these taster lectures, we will have a Q&A session where you can find out whether the Heritage Science, Heritage Management, or Data Science route is right for you, how the course content between the three Sustainable Heritage routes differs, and the funding and scholarships available to support your studies.
