The course offers a theoretically informed overview of key periods and key sites of Egyptian history from 700,000 BC to 700 AD in Term I. This provides the basis and sets the stage for exploring a range of core themes in Egyptian Archaeology, discussing current research as well as current debates on methodologicval and theoretical issues in Term II.
