History:Macalister/1945, 224, cites P.J. Lynch as the first recorder of the stone in 1909. He also states that it was `standing at the entrance to a ring-fort on the townland'.

OSullivan/1996, 266, 269: `An ogham stone is now located outside the E. entrance...This ogham stone originally stood at the E entrance of the site...but now lies on two concrete mounts just outside of it at S.'
