Allen/1889, 305: `Egremont lies on the eastern bank of the river [Cleddau], and is therefore in Carmarthenshire, but quite close to the borders of Pembrokeshire. The Church is near a farmhouse called Llandre, there being no village nor other houses. There is nothing remarkable about the church, which is of the usual type found in this part of Wales, having a nave and chancel with a small bell-gable at the west end'.
