THE DEPARTMENT
INFORMATION FOR
NOTICE BOARD

Anthropology is the comparative, evolutionary and historical study of humankind. It is both a theoretical and a field-based discipline.

The breadth of Anthropology at UCL distinguishes our programme from those offered by most other British Universities and our 5* rating in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise makes us the top broad-based anthropology department in the UK.

UCL anthropology looks at the biological, cultural, social and material culture aspects of human beings as well as their evolution. We cover the entire human story; from its origins to the present day.

We offer these undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes:

The Department is offering three bursaries of £1000 each for MSc students applying for the academic year 2009-10. All those who have submitted an application by 30 June 2009 will automatically be considered and no additional application form is necessary.
