My work in this area focuses on social systems theory and self-reference, and on theoretical
and methodological issues in translation studies.

Translation History.
Here my research focuses on the discourse on translation in prefaces and treatises
in various languages in Early Modern Europe, with special attention to metaphorical ways of speaking
about translation and the exploration of key terms and concepts.
