Vasilis was born in Kavala, Greece. He acquired his MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering and his MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Democritus University of Thrace and Imperial College London, respectively. After completing his studies, he worked as an intern at Cortexica Vision Systems Ltd in London and afterwards at Maltron International Ltd as a software & electronics engineer for the further software and hardware development of the Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) product. He has been a PhD student at UCL since September 2013 joining the Analogue and Biomedical Electronics Group. His research interest are in biomedical modelling and simulation and in the area of mixed-signal integrated-circuit design.
