The pixie flavourings page

Many people have asked "What are pixie flavourings, anyway?"

It's a tricky question for me to answer, because it means different things to different people, but the best way I feel I have to explain what they are is to describe the people we see in the pub. The demographics of our little place are quite startling really, we have representatives from many major religions, as well as athiests, pagans, agnostics, and no doubt a whole variety of other beliefs. Yet, we are all catalogued here by such simple terms as name, age and location.

This isn't enough - we are more than that, you and I. Some people call it spirit, some dreams and aspiration. Some feel that their life is dominated by a particular interest of theirs. I'm caught up in this contradiction, that we are so diverse and yet have no way to express who we are. And this is where Pixie flavourings originate.

How can we find a common idea, that all of us can find some mutual experience, some reference point from which we can all look, when the viewpoint needed covers ideology, belief, the very essence of who we are. We all believe in different things, how can we find a common ground?

Now as a child, my father used to tell me stories, about the goblins, and fairies and beautiful princesses. I can imagine that, when you were a child, you heard these stories too, and how we wished that they were true. They encombassed our dreams and hopes, little children daring to believe.

In other words, a common ground in who we all our. I think that at sometime in our lives we all wished we were some brave adventurer in a mystical land, or a beautiful princess waiting to be rescued, or a young fool who dared to dance with the fairies. Very few of us still dare to dream this dream, many have other dreams now, and some no dreams at all. But we all once had a little pixie soul, and how that soul has been flavoured describes who we are today.

I hope we all still have a little pixie flavouring in us
