The University of Reading is pleased to host the 3rd Mathmondes meeting which will take place from 9th - 10th July 2012 at our Whiteknights campus. The aim of Mathmondes is to encourage interaction and collaboration
between British and French researchers in the area of wave propagation. As such the programme will consist of a small number
of talks, but the emphasis will be on informal discussions and networking.
The focus of the meeting will be on high frequency wave propagation and scattering, particularly work across the interface of numerics and traditional asymptotics, and on waveguide problems, with a particular emphasis on open waveguides.
The meeting will commence at 10am on Monday 9th, with arrivals/registration from 9.30am in the Mathematics Common Room (room 112 on the first floor of the Mathematics building). The meeting will finish by 4pm on Tuesday 10th. Talks will take place in room 113 on the 1st floor of the Mathematics building. For a provisional programme click here.
RegistrationThanks to sponsorship from the IMA/EPSRC, registration is free for the first 30 applicants and covers lunch, tea and coffee on both days, as well as dinner on Monday. To register please complete the registration form here.
AccommodationAccommodation is available for the night of 9th July in single en-suite rooms at a cost of £50 (including breakfast) and can be booked when filling out the registration form. Limited accommodation may be also available for the nights of 8th July and 10th July. If you require accommodation for either of these nights then please specify on the form. Please note that the deadline for arranging accommodation on campus is 20th June.
