Penultimate year undergraduates: share your views and you could win £500

2 March 2018

The UCL Student Experience Survey is open until 8 April.

SES

The UCL Student Experience Survey is for undergraduates in their second or third year of study. Students on a year abroad are also eligible to take the survey, but your responses should be reflective of your time at UCL only.

The survey gives you a chance to have your say on your academic experiences so far. In particular, you will be asked about the quality of your teaching, feedback on your work, the academic support you have received and how you would rate the library and other support services.

This online survey should take you around 10 minutes to complete. All students who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £500 cash prize or one of 50 £10 Amazon vouchers.

This is an internal survey developed specifically for UCL students and is separate from national surveys such as the National Student Survey (NSS). As with all of our surveys, your answers will be anonymous.

You Shape UCL

By sharing your feedback with us, we hope to understand what is important to you and how we can improve your time at UCL. Student feedback has already led to the following changes at UCL:

  • UCL Student Support and Wellbeing has improved access to immediate support through daily drop-in sessions with a team of mental health, disability and wellbeing advisers.
  • Funding approval has been granted for the creation of a central Academic Communication Support Centre for students, which will mean a significant increase in UCL’s provision for academic writing and communication support.
  • 15% increase in UCL study space in 2016-17, as well as 549 new student PCs and 60 Laptop loans available for the 2017/18 term.
  • 50% of classes held in spaces which have Lecturecast available are now being recorded.

The UCL Student Experience Survey closes on 8 April and you will have received an email from the UCL Student Engagement Team if you are eligible to participate. Alternatively, you can go to https://ucl.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/ses2018 and login with your Student ID number and date of birth as password.
