I’m a PhD student in Gender Studies at CMII. My thesis is looking at the early-modern philosopher Mary Astell through the lens of Michel Foucault’s later ethical work, bringing both thinkers into dialogue with modern feminist thought. My BA was in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, followed by an MSt in Women’s Studies at the same university. I have taught courses in the history of philosophy, Gender Studies, and Early Modern Studies. I am also involved with and committed to public and community philosophy projects such as the Stuart Low Trust Philosophy Forum. In my spare time, I can often be found bouldering, cooking vegan food, or at the cinema.
