Marta

I’m a research student and Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. In my doctoral thesis I look at the relationship between populist politics and popular culture in Poland, but more broadly I am interested in the rise of right-wing populism and nationalism in Central and Eastern Europe. At SSEES I teach politics of Central Europe and research methods for BA students. Before arriving at UCL I did an MA in Philosophy at the University of Łódź and worked in education, publishing and art production. I am also a pro-choice activist engaged in the public debate on reproductive rights in Poland and worldwide.
