I'm Josephine and I'm a PhD candidate in political science and political studies at UCL. I specialise in US politics, interest groups, and also do comparative work on Europe/EU and Latin America. I teach two modules: Making of Modern America, and Introduction into Politics (political theory). I have also lectured on US foreign policy and interest group studies. I have over 6 years' experience as a tutor. I approach tutorials by thinking about the essential criteria needed to make a strong essay, such as a clear line of argument and knowledge of the secondary literature. I adapt to each student's background and way of learning. I'm excited to be a member of the Writing Lab team. I speak fluent French (B2/C1) German and Spanish.
