I studied Culture & Society at LSE, looking at practices of everyday life and ‘tactics’, particularly ruses and invisibility, through sarcasm and trompe l’oeil. After a break, I returned to academia as a part-time student, completing a PhD in Literature & Creative Writing at Brunel University London in 2016. My thesis investigated feminist aesthetic theory and the production of artistic effects as well as political statements and acts of resistance, and examined the work of writer Siri Hustvedt, among others. My focus now is around creative practice, and the role of writing centres in social justice work.
I am always open to suggestions on how you think the Writing Lab could be improved. You can usually find me in the Writing Lab itself (50 Gordon Square) or get in touch on the email address below.
