Dr Siassakos has been leading, in collaboration with NPEU and University of Bristol, a portfolio of studies to understand and improve the management of women with bariatric surgery in pregnancy – including UK Obstetric Surveillance Studies – two national cohorts for women with gastric banding (LAGB) or other surgery (including Bypass).

Other studies in the portfolio include ENGAGE, a study to understand the experience of pregnant women with previous bariatric surgery and their willingness to participate in clinical trials.
