IfWH Careers Sessions

Just before the end of Term 2, UCL EGA Institute for Women's Health MSc students had the unique opportunity to explore careers in the pharmaceutical industry and entrepreneurship with a truly special guest: Dr. Bitoul Zidan, Medical Director for Fertility at Merck Group and an esteemed alumnus of our Institute.

Organised as part of the IfWH Careers Series, the session offered students invaluable insights into career paths beyond academia.

Dr. Zidan shared her personal journey from MSc student to industry leader, highlighting the diverse opportunities available in pharmaceutical research, medical affairs, and entrepreneurship.

The event left a lasting impact, with many students reflecting on how it broadened their perspectives. Tunay (MSc Reproductive Science and Women’s Health student) shared:

“"I always wanted to have a first-hand impact on people’s lives and held onto embryology as my only path. This presentation taught me that there’s never just ONE way of achieving your dreams. You can contribute to your field in many ways, as long as you know your potential."
