Presenting risk information in sexual and reproductive health care

Presenting risk information to patients is an important part of clinical encounters. Doing this well improves patient satisfaction with their care. A recent article summarises best practice to ensure that patients make the best-informed choice. Strategies such as using a range of structured, tailored presentation styles, decision aids and framing the risk improve patient understanding and reduces difficulty in decision-making.
