Obstetric Medicine: 9 months of care for the sick mother giving a lifetime of health for the family’
Professor David Williams Inaugural Lecture - 'Obstetric Medicine: 9 months of care for the sick mother giving a lifetime of health for the family' took place on Thursday 5th May 2022 in the Darwin Building Lecture Theatre. There were over 70 people in attendance, with present and previous colleagues and friends and family, with an additional 30 people joining online.
The lecture was introduced by Professor Anna David and Dr Stuart Lavery made the closing remarks.
It was amazing to listen to David's lecture and to hear about his career as an Obstetric Physician and the impact his research has had on many women. His maternal medicine work is internationally recognised and is now being roled out across the UK via the maternal medicine network.
His lecture was followed by a drinks reception in the South Cloisters.
