Launch of Oxford Textbook of Global Health of Women, Newborns, Children, and Adolescents

Oxford textbook, Global Health of Women, Newborns, Children and Adolescents
Co-edited by Dr Jennifer Hall, Principal Clinical Researcher, IfWH, with colleagues from the Institute for Global Health and LSHTM, this Oxford Textbook is the first comprehensive book on this topic, and is written by many leading experts from all over the world. Taking a life-course approach, the chapters start with adolescence, covering sexual and reproductive health, HIV, pregnancy, birth mental health, and much more. Child development is traced from conception through pregnancy, the newborn period, and into childhood and adolescence, with topics including newborn care, nutrition, infections, and injuries.

 

At the launch event we will hear from the editors, as well as from Professor Baron Peter Piot, the Director of LSHTM and Professor Anthony Costello, a renowned expert on maternal, newborn and child health and previous Director of the Department of Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health at the World Health Organization.
