Research Fellow International Brain Laboratory (IBL)

The International Brain Laboratory (IBL) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral Research Fellow to work under the joint supervision of Michael Häusser and Matteo Carandini at University College London. The IBL is a unique global collaboration, funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Simons Foundation, that aims to establish the neural basis of decision-making.  To this end, the IBL is developing a standardized mouse decision-making behavior, making coordinated measurements of neural activity across the mouse brain, and using theory and analysis to uncover the underlying neural computations. For more information about the advantages of postdoctoral research at IBL, see www.internationalbrainlab.com/postdocs/.. Closing date: 23 November 2019. Apply

Laboratory Manager

The lab manager will work together with an enthusiastic team of neuroscientists in the Neural Computation Group at UCL, and also provide management support for the International Brain Laboratory (IBL). The Neural Computation Group is using a combination of the latest imaging, optogenetic and electrophysiological approaches to understand the relationship between neural circuits and behaviour. The IBL is a new virtual laboratory which is developing a new model for international collaboration in neuroscience (for more details see http://www.internationalbrainlab.com/). The responsibilities of the role include grants and personnel management, mouse colony management, oversight of regulatory compliance and general lab organization. Engagement with the scientific projects in the lab will be encouraged; for more details see: http://www.dendrites.org/Closing date: 23 November 2019 Apply
