Professor Michael Hausser elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society

Professor Michael Häusser (Professor of Neuroscience, Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research) and Annette Dolphin (Professor of Pharmacology, Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology, Division of Biosciences) have been elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society.

Michael has made fundamental contributions to our understanding of how the complex dendritic structures of nerve cells contribute to the functional computations that occur in the mammalian brain. Annette is internationally recognised as one the world leaders in the field of neuronal voltage-gated calcium channels.

Outside of the SLMS community, Lisa Jardine (Professor of Renaissance Studies, Faculty of Arts and Humanities) was also elected.
