Year 9s and 10s: take part in this two-day creative workshop during May half-term at UCL East and discover exciting new ways to explore words through performance.

The programme is free of charge and open to students in Years 9 and 10 who live and/or go to school in the London boroughs of Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.
Try out hands-on scene work and theatrical approaches, using your imagination, voice and your body to respond to words on the page. See how others have brought play texts to life on stage, film and digital media. Learn new ways to express ideas and emotions through words, sounds, and performance.
This will be a fun and rewarding two days, building your confidence and giving you the chance to think creatively, try out new skills and work with others.
The session is led by tutors working on UCL’s degree programme in Creative Arts and Humanities, which brings together creative writing, moving image and performance to help students develop skills spanning storytelling to critical thinking.
You will also have the chance to explore the BA Media Degree Show, with work from final year Media Students on display at UCL East.
