UCL East Architecture Holiday Club

A free, architecture-themed holiday workshop for students in Years 9, 10 and 11, who live and/or go to school in the London boroughs of Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.

The UCL East Architecture Holiday Club is a two-day programme of exciting hands-on activities, allowing you to get a feel for what it's like to be an architecture student. Learn from subject specialists and try your hand at some of the skills needed to become an architect.

The club offers an introduction to various methods used in architecture and other related disciplines, including theatre design and art. Students will engage in a series of individual and group design exercises, focusing on drawing, model-making and the concept of collage. Throughout the workshop, students will be guided step-by-step to develop a small personal design project, before collaborating with others to bring their designs together into a model that incorporates multiple spaces and timeframes, creating a story told through simple moving elements.

It will be an exciting and interactive experience for students, giving them the chance to think creatively, learn new skills and work with others.

Dates and Times

The club takes place at UCL East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 April 2025, from 10am to 4pm.
