UCL Accelerate is an exciting maths tutoring programme for Year 10 students developed by UCL’s Widening Participation team.
UCL Accelerate is an in-school tutoring programme that pairs trained UCL tutors with small groups of Year 10 students to support their maths skills and confidence using resources developed by UCL’s Institute of Education. Maths Education Innovation will also be contributing online resources and weekly tests through their Integral platform.
Over the course of 10 weeks, students will cover four key maths topics with an additional two weeks for catch-up embedded. Students who complete the programme will become UCL Accelerate ‘Graduates’ with access to regular online sessions, including guidance on A-level choices, study skills, university applications, and personal statements from Year 10 through to Year 13.

As the first year of the programme is a pilot, we will be working with five selected partner schools across London.
