As part of our exhibition and symposium on the past, present and future of Urban Rooms, please join us for a keynote lecture by Christine Gaspar, Executive Director of New York City's Centre for Urban Pedagogy.

The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) is a nonprofit organization that uses the power of design and art to increase meaningful civic engagement. CUP projects demystify the urban policy and planning issues that impact on communities so that more individuals can better participate in shaping them. CUP projects are collaborations of art and design professionals, community-based advocates and policymakers, and CUP staff. Together they take on complex issues-from the juvenile justice system to zoning law to food access-and break them down into simple, accessible, visual explanations.

Tickets to the keynote are free but registration is mandatory.

Organised by Sol Perez Martinez and UCL Urban Laboratory, with financial support from the Architecture Projects Fund of The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
