Sidra’s doctoral research responds to the dramatic upward growth in London’s built environment over the last two decades and to the transformation of the London skyline. Sidra is investigating the contemporary London skyscraper and its relationship to branding, the urban “experience economy” and everyday life. Sidra’s research engages with key London skyscrapers through her concept of the ‘lived skyscraper’ and draws on ethnographic and visual research methods.
