We are excited to share UCL’s contributions to the CHI 2026 technical programme. The conference will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from 13–17 April 2026.
UCL researchers will present a substantial body of work, including 23 full papers, alongside workshops, a panel, meet-ups, journal presentations, and other contributions. Together, these outputs highlight the breadth of research at UCL, spanning human-centred AI, digital wellbeing, multisensory experiences, accessibility, personal informatics, interactive systems, and emerging technologies that shape how people live, work, and communicate.
In addition to research presentations, UCL faculty members will play key organisational roles within CHI 2026. Notably, Professor Anna Cox will serve on the SIGCHI Executive Committee as Chair-Elect, contributing to the strategic leadership of both the conference and the broader HCI community. UCL researchers will also serve as Associate Chair and Awards Chair roles, helping to shape the scientific programme and peer-review process.
Professor Duncan Brumby, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, will host an Editorial Board meeting for the journal during CHI 2026, reflecting its continued growth and central role in advancing research on the design and use of interactive computer technologies.
