On 4 February 2025, TOUCHLESS, an EU-funded FET Horizon 2020 project that explored innovative touchless haptic experiences, held its final review meeting with the funding body. The review outcomes were highly positive, with only minimal follow-up recommendations, underscoring the project's success. Over its duration, TOUCHLESS has advanced the field of haptic interaction by integrating neurocognitive AI, paving the way for future developments in contact-free tactile feedback. Beyond its scientific contributions, the project also fostered the career growth of numerous researchers, providing them with interdisciplinary expertise and new opportunities in haptics, AI and human-computer interaction.
