'How UX Research Drives Product Innovations at Bloomberg' seminar by Dr. Victoria Bellotti (UCLIC s
This presentation will focus on the role that User Experience Research (UXR) plays within Bloomberg's financial technology solutions.
Abstract
This presentation will focus on the role that User Experience Research (UXR) plays within Bloomberg’s financial technology solutions. I’ll touch on my background, offer some details about Bloomberg’s position as a leading technology company, and talk about some of the core UXR methods we use, emphasizing the rapid shift toward AI-enhanced analysis and even data collection. Our discussion will highlight two key product innovations: ALTD, Bloomberg’s Alternative Data Analytics Platform — which gives investment professionals a decisive edge and an early read on public and private company performance alongside traditional market data, broker research, estimates and news — and ASKB, a new conversational AI interface for the Bloomberg Terminal. Finally, I’ll share some examples of recent research that yielded insights into client requirements for AI agents, including the need for workflow templates, advanced reasoning with transparent tracing, and robust data extraction capabilities for financial decision-making.
