Institute of Making
Open to all UCL students and staff who are creatively curious and interested in making. The Institute of Making offers facilities and workshops for you to explore and experiment with a wide range of materials, processes, tools and techniques - working alongside students, researchers and experts in their field.
Free membership includes an induction and access to an array of equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters, pneumatic and heat tools, and woodworking, ceramics and textile equipment.
Innovation Lab
The Innovation Lab is a space for all UCL staff and students who want to improve, adapt and translate their ideas into practice.
Focusing on electronics, programming and interaction, the space provides a range of tools, machines and materials to make, test and rapidly prototype ideas. This includes mechanical presses, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and printed circuit board facilities, as well as hand and power tools for shaping, profiling and finishing wood, plastic and soft metals.
