Applications open for East Summer School 2019

Applications are now open for the East Summer School, two weeks of free fashion, dance, spoken word, game design, theatre, filmmaking, engineering and architecture activities for 13 – 16 year olds on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in July and August.

Young people aged between 13 to 16, living in Newham, Hackney, Waltham Forest or Tower Hamlets, can sign up now for the free East Education Summer School, being held at Here East in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park between 29th July to 9th August. From one-off classes to a full week of activity, there will be lots of interesting sessions, full of unique experiences, ideas and inspiration; it will be fantastic opportunity for local young people to meet new people and have fun. 

The Summer School courses are being delivered by world-leading organisations, including UCL, University of the Arts London: London College of Fashion, the BBC, Sadler’s Wells, The Yard Theatre, Studio Wayne McGregor and the V&A in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution. They will be offering exciting classes such as Fashion Film Making; Activism and Design; Tomb Raider in the Museum; and Hip Hop Theatre.
