Sound, Music, Space, Place

CMMR 2025 provides a international platform for multidisciplinary research at the intersection of sound, music, and computing. This year will be hosted by UCL and the V&A in East London under the theme “Sound, Music: Space, Place.”

The programme will feature papers, demonstrations, performances and installations, as well as workshops and tutorials.

CMMR 2025 offers an open, inclusive space for the exchange of ideas across sound, music, and computing. We invite participation from academics, practitioners, industry professionals, and others with relevant interests.

The CMMR conference committee is joint led by Angela McArthur from UCL Anthropology, and Emma-Kate Matthews and Tom Holberton from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. The venture is supported by Yamaha, Nexo and the V&A.
