Our new campus will be open, accessible and locally-engaged, with spaces that can be shared and used by those who live, work or study in east London
UCL has a proud history of being the first university in England to be open to all, regardless of gender, background or faith. As we move into east London we recognise the importance of being an active part of our local community: using our research together with the experiences of those who live and work in east London to effect meaningful long-term change.
Our teaching will provide opportunities for current students to engage with communities beyond UCL through curriculum-based engagement work, and our successful volunteering program.
Our educational outreach programme, delivered in partnerships with east London schools aims to raise aspirations of young people. We will develop public art and cultural events which are relevant and meaningful to those outside of the university.
