ONG student wins the IPES CDT Prize

Thomas Gerard, PhD student in the Optical Networks Group (ONG), was awarded the prize for Best Seminar Presentation 2017-2018

PhD student Thomas Gerard from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, top scored on his presentation and was awarded the IPES CDT Prize for the Best Seminar Presentation 2017-18.
The winning presentation was scored by peers within the Integrated Photonics and Electronics Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT).
Tom's presentation was entitled 'All optical switching for data centres of the future', and had a strong focus on explaining the roll of modern data centres and it's impact upon wider society.
