11 March 2025
Professor Gabriele Lignani discusses how their international team of researchers develop a new generation of cell-state gene therapies for neuropsychiatric disorders. The UCL Translational Research Office is pleased to have supported his project.

During Brain Awareness Week, we highlighted how research at UCL is transforming our understanding of the brain.
In the video below , Professor Gabriele Lignani discusses how their international team of researchers develop a new generation of cell-state gene therapies for neuropsychiatric disorders.
The project seeks to address challenges of existing drug therapies for neuropsychiatric disorders such as epilepsy, schizophrenia and dementia, which affect the entire brain and often affect other organs as well.
The UCL Translational Research Office (TRO) is pleased to have supported Prof. Lignani in advancing novel therapies and remains committed to supporting UCL researchers in translating discoveries into impact.
