The programme will showcase a broad range of cutting-edge cardiovascular science and launch new research areas being funded by the UCL British Heart Foundation Research Accelerator, one of six such schemes across the UK.
The new UCL BHF award brings together researchers from the faculties of Life, Medical and Population Science together with colleagues from Computer Science and Engineering.
8th UCL Cardiovascular Science Annual Symposium (morning session)

Highlights include presentations on cardiac development and vascular biology, circulating microparticles, genetics of heart failure and coronary disease, cardiovascular risk in people with autoimmunity and improving outcomes in aortic stenosis and children’s heart disease

UCL Research Accelerator Session (afternoon session)

Highlights include presentations on artificial intelligence and cardiac imaging, computational biology and health informatics. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion entitled: ‘A Digital Future: the role of AI in Healthcare’.
