Unitemps – UCL’s internal recruitment agency specialising in managing temporary job vacancies (previously form 6 and 7) and creating job opportunities on campus – has now been operating for a year.

Over the last 12 months, Unitemps has successfully worked with over 2,500 temporary workers and 550 university contacts.

3,500 candidates, who all meet important compliance criteria, have signed up and are now ready to work for UCL on a temporary basis.

The team have been helping colleagues across the university to improve the efficiency of recruitment processes as well as providing a growing pool of talented temporary workers who represent the excellence and diversity of the university community at large. Unitemps have also been working with departments to find highly skilled, specialist workers who are the best candidates for the job.

We’ve heard some great feedback on the service offered by Unitemps from colleagues across UCL:

“The Department have been using Unitemps since May 2019, they are extremely efficient and knowledgeable, and a real pleasure to work with!” – Patricia Cheng, Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy
“Unitemps staff are very responsive and friendly, and have been a great help in recruiting students when needed!” – Sukhi Bath, UCL Office of the Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs)

An important benefit of Unitemps for UCL is that the team operate an online, efficient system which ensures UCL adheres to the strict compliance regulations outlined by gov.uk when hiring temporary workers.

On top of this, they can help by managing the full recruitment process for departments and divisions including advertising vacancies, shortlisting and interviewing candidates.
