Funding calls

One of our core aims is to co-ordinate, inspire and support underpinning research leading to the development of new technologies, and to services that harness advances in digital design, manufacturing and data analysis techniques. Our final funding call is aimed at the next generation of AT researchers: final year PhD students.

Projects we have funded

We have already provided funding for eight feasibility research projects to interdisciplinary teams who have an excellent research hypothesis for solving a clear unmet need, and whose proposals align with at least one of our research priorities: Responsible Engineering; Sensors and Data Science for Communication Aids; and Digital Design & Manufacturing Systems (DMS) & Physical Devices.  Find out more about the projects we have funded.

£59K feasibility funding call for PhD researchers

We want the TIDAL network to have a long-term impact and to be sustainable beyond the term of our EPSRC funding. Our final feasibility funding call is therefore aimed specifically at supporting the next generation of researchers – current, final year, PhD students. We are running a grant-writing workshop and the opportunity to apply for £59k feasibility funding for an AT project relating to one of the TIDAL themes.  To apply you must be a UK-based PhD student in your final year.  Find out more about our workshop and funding call for final year PhD students.
